Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Mastero — Track. Train. Master. ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Mastero mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide:

• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo when you register via email/password, Google, Apple, or Facebook Sign-In.
• Skill & Practice Data: Skills you create, practice session logs, timer recordings, focus and difficulty ratings, notes, and goals.
• Profile Preferences: App settings and notification preferences.

Information Collected Automatically:

• Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, session duration, and interaction patterns (via Firebase Analytics).
• Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and app version.
• Crash Reports: Technical diagnostic data when the app encounters errors.
• Push Notification Tokens: To deliver practice reminders and streak alerts.

Information from Third Parties: When you sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) as permitted by those platforms.

How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account
• Sync your skill and practice data across devices via Firebase
• Calculate XP, streaks, badges, and progress statistics
• Send practice reminders and achievement notifications
• Provide AI coaching insights based on your practice history
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Comply with legal obligations

Data Storage and Sync

Your practice data is stored locally on your device using SQLite (Drift) for offline access, and in the cloud via Google Firebase (Firestore) when you are signed in and connected, enabling cross-device sync. Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: Firebase/Google (authentication, database, analytics, messaging); sign-in providers (Google, Apple, Facebook) as necessary to authenticate your identity; and as required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your account and practice data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data from our servers within 30 days. Locally stored data is removed when you uninstall the App.

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase security rules to restrict data access, and secure authentication via established providers (Google, Apple, Facebook).

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us personal information, we will delete it promptly.

Third-Party Services

The App integrates Google Firebase (auth, database, analytics, messaging), Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, and Facebook Login. Each is governed by their own privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
